MUSKOGEE, Okla. — December 4, 2024 — The Muskogee Roughers football team is set to defend their state championship title this weekend in the highly anticipated 6A-II State Championship game. With an undefeated 12-0 season, the team is looking to make history by securing back-to-back titles under the leadership of Head Coach Hill.

This season, the Roughers have been nothing short of impressive, dominating their competition week after week. Their path to the championship game has been a testament to their resilience and teamwork, and those qualities will be put to the test as they face the Choctaw Yellowjackets on Saturday night.

Game Day Information

Fans are encouraged to travel to UCO’s Chad Richison Stadium in Edmond to cheer on the Roughers. The game kicks off at 7:00 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available online for $10 (plus fees) at gofan.co or at the gate for $13.

For those unable to attend, the game will be streamed live through the NFHS Network, with additional audio coverage on 101.7 Okie Country and RougherTV’s YouTube channel.

Supporting the Team

A send-off event will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Rougher Village, where fans can gather to show their support as the team departs for Edmond.

Muskogee Public Schools is also offering spirit buses for students in grades 8–12. For $20, students will receive a game ticket, round-trip transportation, and dinner. More information can be found in your school's front office.

What to Expect at the Stadium

Fans should be aware of the stadium policies. Only clear bags will be allowed inside the venue, and metal detectors will be in use at all entry points. OSSAA 2024–25 passes will be the only passes accepted for entry. Parking will be available throughout the day in designated stadium lots.

The Roughers, who ended a decades-long championship drought with their state title victory last year, are looking to make their mark in Muskogee's athletic history. Fans are encouraged to pack the stands or tune in from home as the team strives to bring another championship back to Muskogee.
