MUSKOGEE, Okla. – The Rougher Regiment has made school history by reaching the finals in two recent invitational competitions. As they approach the halfway point in their competition season, the band has gained attention as one of the up-and-coming programs in Oklahoma.

This past weekend, they earned third place at the Broken Arrow Invitational with an impressive score of 74.10. The weekend prior, the Regiment secured eighth place at the Owasso Invitational Marching Contest, scoring 69.75, beating several bands that have historically placed ahead of them.

With scoring improvements of 6 to 8 points over last year, the Rougher Regiment are looking forward to continued success. Upcoming competitions include the Renegade Review at the end of this week, the Bands of America Super Regional Competition in St. Louis on Saturday, October 26th, and the OSSAA region band contest, culminating with the OBA 6A state contest on November 2nd.

As Homecoming approaches on Friday, October 11, 2024, the Rougher Regiment will showcase their talents in a parade at noon on Broadway Street in downtown Muskogee. That evening, they will captivate the crowd with their halftime performance titled "Web of Lies" during the football game against the Bartlesville Bruins at Rougher Village. The game begins at 7:00 PM, with gates opening at 5:30 PM.

Join us in celebrating the remarkable achievements of the Rougher Regiment as they contribute to the spirit of Homecoming!
