What is Read, Play, Talk?

Read Play Talk is a Muskogee Public Schools initiative created to help families nurture early literacy and development skills by reading, playing, and talking with their children every day, starting from birth. This initiative empowers families to build strong, lasting connections, fostering a love of learning and lifelong growth.

To support families, Read Play Talk offers engaging community events and educational opportunities that provide hands-on ways for families to connect and learn together. A highlight of this initiative is the Read Play Talk Bus—a mobile library and activity space that brings books and enriching experiences directly to neighborhoods across the community.

With the support of local businesses and organizations, Read Play Talk reaches families throughout Muskogee, ensuring everyone has the resources they need for their child’s academic and personal success.
