Cherokee Elementary serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school is one of two sites in the district to house a Reading Recovery Lab providing focused attention on students and expanded training opportunities for teachers in support of the district's mission to have all students reading on grade level by the third grade. Cherokee is known for its project based learning approach and focus on improved student outcomes.
